Day 7 The Buzz is Gone…

Day 7 – Thursday April 22, 2010

It's Thursday morning and the "buzz" is gone. We need to get back to work on some of our other projects at hand. Today, we put any further development of the My Shopping Genie Business on the back burner.

Since you "can't stop the rain", we answered a few questions about legitimacy concerns… leading to a little research of our own.

We had 1 new personally sponsored distributor sign up under us for a total of 6.

Although we've only signed up 6 people ourselves we now have 21 people in our organization.

Day 6 New Page Created to Help People Get Started

Day 6 – Wednesday April 21, 2010

Today there was a quite a few questions, but being only 6 days into the business we didn't have all the answers… so we recommended that everyone should get on the webinar to better understand what was going on.

Today, 2 of our members of our directly sponsored distributors. The 2 signed up signed up 4 new people today including some large local businesses. It's always great to see others having some success too :)

Our auto-fill program added 1 person today, the cool thing is that we know them, too.

We spent a total of about about 4 hours on our My Shopping Genie Business today, and by the end of the day we had a total of 5 new people! 

We also created this help page for new users.

Total 20 people in our organization.

Day 5 Creating Sales Pages

Day 5 – Tuesday April 20, 2010

So on our 5th day in our "My Shopping Genie Business", we have already recruited 5 people by just showing them the information we had privy to only days before. It was time to turn around and help them get their 2 people in the next 72 hours, some of them had even less!

Please note: our initial focus has been on recruiting new members (as opposed to giving away free Genie applications) because we felt that the sooner our friends "get in," the better. Also for the purposes of our research and your benefit, we needed to follow the business program that has been laid out for us.

Since we are pretty flexible on the web, we decided to create these sales pages. Shopping Genie also offers a marketing system called mymarketinggenie.com/

We choose to build our own sales pages because, in order to get an invitation to the webinar, the attendee needed to sign a non-disclosure agreement. With that being said, we cannot get into detail about exactly was discussed on the webinar. If you want to get on one contact us.

Next, we duplicated our sales pages for our team and inserted their affiliate links. We told them to let their open minded friends to have a look and see what they thought.

By the end of the day, we had no personally sponsored distributors, but 1 more in our downline from the overflow… for a total now of 15.

Still no commissions listed, but it does clearly say that not processed until the second week following the business week, so we are anxiously awaiting the final number…

Day 4 We Now Have 14 Distributors!

Day 4 – Monday April 19, 2010

Happy Monday! Well, at least it was a Happy Monday for us… as we were exited to see what this week had in store for our "My Shopping Genie Business".

Our happy Monday went away rather quickly after we got side tracked and had to spend a lot of the day working on various other projects we had under our belt.

We did not focus much more than a few minute on the Genie business today, but those short few minutes landed us another personally sponsored distributor.

Day 4 comes to an end and we now have 14 distributors in our business. Sadly, we did not have any overflow distributors today.

Day 3 – Qualifing For 20% Click Override Bonus

Day 3 – Sunday April 18, 2010

Day 3 is here and today we will be approaching our 72 hour deadline to enroll our 2nd personally sponsored distributor (to qualify for the 20% Click Override Bonus.)

Because this is not our first network marketing business, we have built a nice list of email contacts in the past that we plan to introduce the My Shopping Genie business to. However, for now we decide to only contact a select few people who we are currently working closely with. After some careful and creative copy writing, we have finalized the email to broadcast to our short list. 

Several hours later, and we now have a few prospects lined up to join our team. We suggested that our contacts attend the webinar that would be airing tonight, because from our experience on day 1 (with the webinar), we got excited and joined… so hopefully our prospects would follow.

Not much more effort went into our My Shopping Genie business today, as it was a Sunday and we like to enjoy our weekends. :)

The close of day 3 is here and the webinar just ended. After checking our My Shopping Genie account, we realized that 3 of our contacts joined our team! Perfect, we have now qualified for our 20% click override bonus.  After some further analysis of our member downline, we noticed that again today (like yesterday), we also had some additional "overflow" distributors directly from our upline. Today, we had a staggering 4 more distributors join or team without us doing any additional leg work! 

Day 3 is over and our downline is now 13 distributors strong. Not bad for only 3 days in the business, don't you agree?

Day 2 MyShopping Genie Websites & Business Breakdown

Day 2 – Saturday April 17, 2010

Day 2 is here and we are eager to see how it plays out.

First things first, we needed to buy a few domain names that we can use to direct our potential distributors / users to, with ease. When you first signup with My Shopping Genie, they provide a replicated website that you can use. The URL for this replicated website is rather long and not so unique, so we went out and purchased "FreeSearchGenie.com". We did this because it is easier to remember "FreeSearchGenie.com" as opposed to "www.MyShoppingGenie.com/iMar".  

It was time to research more about the compensation plan. As of yesterday, we were still pretty unclear as to when we get paid, and how much we get paid. What we did understand was there are numerous streams of income, including being an affiliate for Amazon.com, ebay.com, and even ClickBank.com. With these affiliate programs, we could get paid whenever someone clicks on certain links (PPC – without even buying anything), as well as earn income when someone does makes a purchase. With that in mind, we understood that the pay plan could get quite complicated. On another note, there should be some clear cut numbers in the compensation plan as to how much we earn per distributor that we sponsor. In fact, we DID find some of these numbers, but there seemed to be a lot of vague terms that were not clearly defined, further making the readability of the compensation plan a bit harder.

So what do we understand about the compensation plan so far?

  • For every 2 distributors we signup, we receive $100 in "quick commission" bonus… (no limit to how much we can earn) Clear Cut.

  • We get some unknown X $ every time someone clicks on certain links within our personally distributed genie software. (aka Pay-Per-Click). We understand this, but the numbers are not known.
     
  • Sign up 2 distributors in the first 72 hours and qualify for "20% override click" bonus. This means we earn 20% of the Pay-Per-Click revenue generated from whomever we personally sponsor. If we do not get 2 distributors in the first 72 hours, we will eventually qualify once we have personally sponsored 4 distributors. This is pretty simple to understand, but again… the numbers are not known in the PPC arena.

  • Dual Team Infinity Pay Structure (DTIP). This is where it begins to really get confusing. Because there are only 2 legs to fill below you (binary model), you benefit from the people that join members above and below you (overflow). This is where we believe the pay plan gets kind of wordy and confusing. There is a bunch of information about first cycle and second cycle checks being paid, including some rather large numbers being mentioned (i.e. $20,000 per week), but this left us asking questions and more confused. There also seems to be various levels of distributor titles that correlate to how many distributors you have personally sponsored along with how many distributors each of your team members have personally sponsored. There is also a monthly residual that goes along with how many distributors you have in your downline. Yeah, this is confusing and we are waiting for a better explanation of the pay plan and/or a webinar to explain this more in detail.

All in all, we understand there is room for money to be made, but the pay plan could use some additional clarification. Maybe we are missing something and there is an updated version out there, but as of this date… we are in the dark with only a small flash light. 

Back to business… 

The day is coming to an end, so let's check how many distributors we now have below us. WOW, we now have 6 My Shopping Genie Distributors below us and we still have only personally enrolled 1. This means that 2 additional distributors joined our team from the overflow of one of our upline sponsors. This is growing at a nice pace!

Day 1 Joined the My Shopping Genie Business!

Day 1 – Friday April 16, 2010 

We receive an email with an inside tip (from a trusted source) that the My Shopping Genie business is one of a kind and we should attend the webinar to learn more. We were also advised that we should join ASAP, as there will be an overflow of distributors that auto-populate our downline after the launch of the new "Genie". Time was of the essence.

At 6pm, we are on the webinar and attentive as can be. The information was intriguing and we were obviously hyped up (as this often happens post attending a webinar). Unfortunately, we were still unclear as to a lot of the business information (including the compensation plan), but we trusted our source and wanted to get in as early as possible.

Jumping right in with both feet, we sign up as a distributor with My Shopping Genie only minutes after the webinar.

Time to go through the setup process. After completing just a few simple steps, our Shopping Genie business was ready to be launched — wow that was easy!

It was time to download the free My Shopping Genie software and see what this bad boy was all about. Upon downloading, the installation process was straight forward. Time to head to Google and place a search. After Googling "iPod Nano", our Genie went to work. Found numerous great deals and lots of coupons for accessories. This software is pretty neat! Can't wait to see what the new version will be like May 1st. 

Anyhow, back to the business. In order for us to to take advantage of the "20% Click Override Bonus", we needed to signup 2 distributors within the first 72 hours. This was our new task at hand. Within the first hour, we already had a commitment for our first Shopping Genie distributor. Looking good so far!

After our distributor signed up, we wanted to verify that it showed up properly in our back office (the system used to manage My Shopping Genie Distributor accounts). Not only did we verify that our distributor was properly place under our account, but we also noticed an additional member was placed in our downline. How did this happen, we both thought.  It turns out, the person that we signed up under (or sponsor) was telling the truth about the overflow of members. Within the first 2 hours, we already had 2 distributors underneath us and the night was still young.

As we got more familiar with the My Shopping Genie system, we continued to play with the features and check for new members. To make a long story short… before the night was over, we already had 4 members in our downline (yet, we only personally sponsored 1 of them).
